“Earth, water, fire, and wind. Where there is energy there is life”

The trance sub genre was in the era of CDs, the king of compilations. James Brooke, the head of Australia’s leading Trance Label, 405 Recordings, hosted a weekly podcast, that was simulcast around the country, and very popular. Given he licensed a lot of Trance music from the worlds leading trance labels, he could quite easily get a lot of the content he would ordinarily mix anyway, to be licensed for a physical Australian release.

We discussed turning his podcast brand into a compilation series that was ultimately very successful. Starting only with his press shot, and logo, we developed the concept of the period table, to reflect a very colourful and vibrant series, that I still like the look of today, nearly 10 years later.
