Step off.

What’s now a dirty word in most countries was once the hottest thing in electronic music, and no one could get enough of it. I wasn’t personally taken by it as much as others, but it was within the realms of what I DJed anyway, so when asked for ideas about some compilations I could make for Xelon Entertainment, I thought it could be a good interest spike to target.

This was then my first foray into the world of licensing. I came up with the concept and branding of the compilation, then licensed, designed and released Volume One. It was so popular in stores that physical copies sold out, so Xelon at the time told me to run with the concept, as well as go through their back catalogue to make a dub variation. Both Myself and Arlo (Smile on Impact) also went on a local tour to launch the project at gigs in multiple venues across Victoria.
