Step outside.

I was given the task of creating a graphic mural, using only illustration, around the theme ‘Outside The Square’. At the time I was heavily influenced by graffiti and street art, so I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and make something that didn’t really fit this profile, despite it’s end result being that it would end up on a wall.

At the time, the television series Underbelly was quite popular, detailing a group of underworld criminals that had definitely taken their life far outside the path of common society, so I created fictional characters in my head as subject matter, that had also stepped outside the square.
