A club for everyone when you need it.

In 2023 I picked up some part time Film & TV courses at JMC academy to refresh some of my videography skills. I was tasked with the challenge of making a seven minute documentary of my choosing.

Being the only part time student, it was difficult for me to work with others due to my full time work commitments, so I had to develop a concept where I could project manage and produce the whole film myself.

The concept was based around my experience in the previous few years playing golf with friends and associates, as a release from the stress of Covid, and how it helped people I knew manage their stress and mental challenges. It also allowed me to go beyond the sport on a superficial level, and connect with the subjects to find a deeper narrative. The outdoor settings let me produce vibrant scenes and further my drone filming skills. I used a lot of high end cameras and multi-cam set ups I hadn’t previously used, and pushed myself to go beyond Adobe products to use Avid & DaVinci.
